Stunning color combination with velvety falls on a flower with elegant structure (love the ruffle) and good substance. Lightly fragrant. Grows and spreads easily, very healthy over a number of years.. Does not get over 28"H here in the north, but needs staking with multiple buds on its sturdy stems. Early to mid bloom. A bit more on the purple side than blue when looking for companion iris, but can depend on the time of day. My favorite bi-color! Gets lots of oohs and ahhs, so I've divided it and given away many. It's not easy to find online or in local gardens, so get it when you find it!
